LBC Update: Gayle is sharing updates from Nova's surgery. Things were going well, but she has now had some sezures. Here are the running updates. Please pray.
She was done within 40 minutes. I T alked to the doc, whom I love, and she said Nova did great. She did remove the adenoids, and she breathed well enough that they didn’t have to intubate her. Thank you, Lord. She might get to come home this afternoon, depending on how she does after coming out of the anesthesia. She did a thorough search with the scope and said she does have some reflux. I have asked Duffy about that on several occasions, but she won’t increase Nova’s reflux medicine. Dr. Stapleton says she feels like it’s a low dose for her weight, so she’s possibly going to increase it once she gets the biopsy back. She said Nova had a couple of “boogers” in her lungs, which could be reflux or aspiration. That’s what she’ll find out from the biopsy and will then determine what to do with her reflux medication. Please pray it’s reflux. I’m going to be devastated if she’s aspirating again, especially if they want to tube her.

Nova has had two unresponsive seizures and is turning blue during them. I told them I’m not taking her home like this.
Her heart rate dropped down to 37!!
